That is 'NI' & 'SAN', they are mini computers that Cyzer built himself. He considers them his best friends and he seems to be the only person to be able to tell them apart. There use to be no SAN and instead there was 'ICHI' but sadly ICHI was accidently destroyed by a person who will be mentioned later on and Cyzer made SAN shortly after. He has yet to let that person near his gagets again.
Why does that guy have animal ears/tail/ect?
They're called 'Hybrids'. Because of the radiation and effects of the bombs used in the Genoa War, animals were effected as well as humans and so they have evoled quickly and have taken on slightly human characteristics.
What is the Genoa War?
The Genoa War was a sort of 'World War III' in a way. But because of the nuclear weapons that were used, many people suffered.
What is that 'Star' Alex & Cyzer are looking for?
Cyzer calles it a 'Star', actually it's more like a gem. The 'Genoa Star' was created after the final(and most deadly) bomb was dropped to end the genoa war years ago. Only a few people have seen it and know if it really exist or not. More about it will be revealed later on in the story.
Why does Alex have a com device on in one page and the rest he doesn't?
Ah yes about that, I forgot to draw the com on him on page 8 so he only wears it for one page ^ ^; Sorry bout that, when I redraw the pages later on I'll be removing it so for now just pretend he took it off.
